Rochdale Town Hall
Rochdale Town Hall was opened on the 7th September, 1871. It was designed by William Henry Crossland. It has a colossal 190 ft tall clock tower. Adolf Hitler admired the architecture of the building so much that he wanted to take it back to Germany brick by brick. Every hour, they ring the bell in the Clock Tower.

Short Tours
There are short tours which take you around the best bits of Rochdale including the exchange, the Co-op and Council Chambers. Get a flavour of this stunning building and learn about the many stories which have made up its past.
Every Wednesday, it starts at 2.15pm, adults-£2.95 per person, children- £1.50 per person.
Private Tours
Private tours are available at a time and date to suit you. Groups of 8 people or more can enjoy either of our expertly guided tours with the chance any questions you may have. Perfect for friends, colleagues or on a special occasion.
Available Monday to Friday, 9am-3pm. Please book at least 24 hours in advance.
- Full private tour for adults - £7.50 per person, children - £3.75 per person.
- Short private tour, adults- £4.50 per person, children- £2.25 per person.

Arrive early and enjoy a delicious, freshly-made lunch or afternoon in delightful surroundings before our expert guide collects you for your tour. Simply choose from the options and select when purchasing your ticket. For your afternoon tea, there is a selection of freshly- prepared sandwiches and desserts, served with a choice of tea or coffee, £7.50 per person.
