Maths

The maths curriculum at Shawclough Primary School embraces this principal and aims to ensure that all our children leave school fluent in the fundamentals of maths, are able to reason mathematically and solve problems. We encourage all our children to see that maths is an essential part of their everyday life. We try at all times to show them how maths is used in real life situations and how a range of different people need to use maths every day to succeed  in their jobs.

We want to instill a love of maths in our children so that to them learning maths is fun!  Here at Shawclough Primary School we are super proud of the achievements of all our pupils .
