We aim to keep the uniform as comfortable for children, and as simple for parents to prchase and care as possible. Below is a brief guide, but for more details please see our uniform policy.

If you have any questions about your child's uniform or would like any help please do not hesitate to contact us.

We have a huge collection or pre-worn uniform which parents and carers are free to take and if you would like financial support for uniform or to help with any other cost of living please contact us and ask to speak to Ms Sharp, who works in our pastoral team supporting families.

All of our school uniform can be purchased from local supermarkets and we do not insist on any aspect of the uniform having the school logo. However, we understand that many families and children want to wear items with the school badge and they can be purchased from:

or

  • Moses Schoolwear, 21-23 Oldham Road, Rochdale, OL16 1UA

The Shawclough uniform consists of:

  • A black fleece, sweatshirt or cardigan
  • A green or yellow polo shirt
  • Black trousers, shorts or dresses
  • Green / white or yellow / white summer dresses
  • Plain black shoes or trainers

We ask that for PE lessons the pupils wear:

  • Black t-shirt
  • Black leggings, tracksuit bottoms or shorts
  • Black pumps or trainers (these should be different to the school shoes)

Children who wear earrings must only wear studs in school.  During PE lessons these must be either removed or covered with surgical tape (which should be kept in the child’s pump bag).  No other jewellery should be worn for school.

Make-up and nail varnish are unnecessary for school.  Please ensure that children remove it before coming to school. Children with long hair should have it tied up neatly for school for health and safety reasons.

Finally, please can we ask that all items are labelled with your child's name.
