Co-op (Yellow

Co-op started as a group of men and has now developed into a company. The co-op was started by the Rochdale pioneers in 1863.They provided the products to sell to local people. The Rochdale pioneers rented their first ever store at 31 Toadlane and they also moved out in 1867. Co-op was only formed in 1865. Before co-op was around shops would sell products unfairly until the Rochdale pioneers came and made products fairly.

Nowdays we have co-op shops everywhere in Rochdale for shopping and groceries.They all decided if they all work as a team they would raise enough wage for the team. Now the first ever co-op shop is a museum for anyone to learn new information.
