Sport Relief 2016

Will we beat Eddie Izzard's total distance collectively as a school?

For Sport Relief 2016 we are currently trying to collectively beat Eddie Izzard's total distance of 27 marathons.  Each child is running around a set course of our playground.  We will be adding everyone's total distances together to see if we can run more metres than Eddie Izzard.  This is not easy considering the following:

• 1 lap of our course is 252m
• 1 marathon is 43 452m
• So to run 27 marathons is 1 173 204m
• Eddie izzard is running 4 655 laps of our school

Amber Class have already collectively completed 405 laps of our school course. So we are well on our way. The teachers even pitched in too! Lets hope we complete our challange.

If Amber Class have completed 405 laps and each lap is 252m, how many metres in total have Amber Class covered????
