- URGENT: IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY DONE SO PLEASE RETURN YOUR CHILD’S NATIONALITY & COUNTRY OF BIRTH COMPLETED FORM. THANK YOU
- Please ensure your child has a sunhat in school. Hopefully it’s going to get warmer soon!
- RAMADAN - If you are allowing your child to fast at school during the month of Ramadan you will need to speak with Mrs Mitchell beforehand. This will only apply to children in Year 6 – no other children will be allowed to fast in school. (Even children in Year 6 are too young and obviously this time it will be a very long fast).
- Queens 90th Birthday celebrations 10 June – wear red, white & blue
SCHOOL MEALS
The cost of a school meal will be increased by 10 pence to £2.10 per meal with effect from 5 September 2016. The cost per week will be £10.50.
SMOKING
Can we just remind everyone that Shawclough is a no smoking site and smoking is not allowed anywhere on the school grounds. This also includes all e-cigarettes. Thank you for your support.
SCHOOL OFFICE
Would you please help our office staff – if you need to speak to a member of our office staff would you please ring the bell. This is a working office and not purely a reception. Thank you.
ROBINWOOD ACTIVITY HOLIDAY
This weekend we are taking 60 children from Year 5 and 6 to Robinwood Activity Centre at Todmorden. Please keep your fingers crossed for good weather!!!
HEALTHY EATING WEEK 13 JUNE 2016
During this week Maggie, our School Cook, will be serving up some different fruits and vegetables for the children to try.
