Greater Manchester fire service are unable to offer any visits to schools. They would like us to share the link www.safe4summer.com to their latest campaign.

The website contains details about this year’s campaign which covers Water Safety, preventing Anti-Social Behaviour (including Deliberate fires) and Road Safety.

There is also a competition for 5-16 year olds in Greater Manchester to enter (iPad as a prize), and activities for young people, including a mini creative project.

The idea is to be as creative as you like while highlighting one of our key themes (staying safe around water, on the moors and on the roads and preventing anti-social behaviour) of this year's campaign ensuring you include #Safe4Summer in your creation.

Some ideas of what you could do:

  • design a poster
  • draw a picture
  • create a collage/montage
  • make a short video (using TikTok or a similar app)
  • make a 3D model (maybe even using recycled materials)
  • or come up with your own idea to show us what you have learned about staying safe over the summer months

All we ask is that you share your masterpiece with us when it is finished using #Safe4Summer on social media (it is fine for a grown up to do this for you if you don't have your own) so we can share with our followers to help keep even more people safe over the summer.

You will find us on social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) @manchesterfire

If you would prefer to email us you can send your design to: corporatecomms@manchesterfire.gov.uk and we will share on your behalf.
